What Your Rice Purity Score Means
Your Rice Purity score is the number left after the 100 statement test: you start at 100 and subtract one point for every statement that applies to you. A higher score means you have checked fewer of the listed experiences, and a lower score means you have checked more.
There is no good or bad score. The number is a snapshot of which experiences you have had so far, not a measure of character or worth. Most people land somewhere in the middle of the scale, near the commonly cited average of 72.

How a Rice Purity Score Is Calculated
The Rice Purity Test lists 100 statements about romance, intimacy, substances, rules and life experiences. You check every statement that applies to you, and your score is 100 minus the number of boxes you checked.
For example, checking 28 statements gives a score of 72, and checking 60 statements gives a score of 40. Every result maps to a clear count: a score of X always means 100 minus X statements were checked. That is why two people with the same number have checked the same total, even if the exact statements differ.
Very innocent (98 to 100)
Almost none of the listed experiences checked. A result here usually means the earliest everyday items, such as a first date or holding hands, are still ahead. It is the rarest part of the scale among people who take the test.
Innocent (94 to 97)
A mostly sheltered set of answers with only a few experiences checked. Results tend to sit within the first romance and dating statements, with little reaching the later themes.
Mild (77 to 93)
A measured result that leans toward fewer experiences. Scores here usually cover the common dating milestones and the start of the intimacy statements, while the substance and law themes stay largely unchecked.
Average (45 to 76)
The most commonly reported range, centered on the often cited average of 72. A result here typically spans romance and intimacy and reaches into the alcohol statements, which is why it feels familiar to most test takers.
Adventurous (9 to 44)
A wide spread of experiences across many themes. Scores in this band usually reach through the substance statements and into the rules and law section, reflecting a broad set of answers.
Worldly (0 to 8)
Nearly every listed experience checked. A result here covers almost the entire list, including the later adventure and life experience statements. Like the very innocent band, it sits at an extreme of the scale and is uncommon.
